Caroline Hollingworth is the Founder and Managing Director of Hollingworth & Associates. Caroline began her career as broadcast journalist at the BBC. She has extensive knowledge of the Balkans, having lived and worked in the region for well over a decade, which includes the period during the war, and speaks Serbo-Croat.

Caroline’s passion for property took hold in 1995, initially finding homes and investment opportunities for herself, before focusing professionally on investing, developing and marketing property five years ago. Her market experience includes project evaluation and global market research; sourcing property investment opportunities; building relationships with industry experts and investors; as well as the planning and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns.

“One of the biggest challenges we face in the industry, particularly in the overseas property market, is the lack of transparency and the need for solid information,” says Caroline. “At this seminal point in the emerging markets’ history, we have a superb opportunity to make a difference, and lay the foundations of good practice now. That includes a commitment to the environment and implementing green policies whenever possible. What we do now has an immeasurable impact on future generations. As property investors and developers, it is imperative we act responsibly.”

Caroline is a member of the National Federation of Residential Landlords (NFRL) and adviser to the Southern Private Landlords Association on the overseas markets. She is regularly invited to offer editorial comment in the national media and has articles featured frequently in the property press.
